Eve Urban Air Mobility, an Embraer company, has announced plans to pursue the development of urban air mobility (UAM) programs across Latin America in collaboration with Avantto, a Brazilian company specializing in business aircraft sharing. The agreement includes an order for 100 of Eve’s eVTOL aircraft, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026.
According to a press release, the partnership will initially focus on the development of services and procedures to “create a safe and scalable environment” for UAM operations using eVTOL aircraft. This will include an emphasis on maximizing accessibility and inclusiveness in vertiports and eVTOL boarding operations.
News of the companies’ signing of a formal letter of intent comes two weeks after Eve announced a collaboration with Paris-based helicopter booking platform Helipass to deploy eVTOL aircraft in Europe and follows the announcement of Bristow’s order for up to 100 aircraft from Eve.
Andre Stein, president and CEO of Eve, noted that the new collaboration builds upon an existing relationship. “Avantto has been a great partner for Embraer Executive Jets, and we are reinforcing this bond with a shared focus on sustainability in this next generation of transportation,” he said.
“The strength of Avantto’s experience in operations, coupled with their growth strategy, make an ideal partner for the future expansion of Eve’s eVTOL deployment in Brazil and across Latin America. We will work together to make sure we continue our mission to democratize aviation through increasing accessibility and affordability.”
Rogério Andrade, Avantto’s founder and CEO, echoed Stein’s confidence that Avantto’s experience in providing private air mobility options will complement Eve’s development of zero-emission and low-noise eVTOL air taxis.
“For more than a decade, Avantto has uniquely developed software, systems and procedures enabling the company to offer 24/7 on-call flight services for short-haul intra-city helicopter transportation to its hundreds of active members,” he said. “This exclusive know-how will be one of the principal pillars of the urban air mobility ecosystem developed by the Eve/Avantto partnership.”
