Take a look at NASA's new Multi-rotor Test Bed during a recent wind tunnel demonstration at NASA's Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California. The video is shown at 8x normal speed starting at 0:38 to highlight the test bed’s range of motion, mimicking different orientations of an aircraft as it flies. The Multi-rotor Test Bed will be used by NASA and its government and industry partners to evaluate a wide variety of rotor configurations for vehicles including mid-sized drones and eVTOL air taxis. Data collected with the test bed will validate computer simulations used to study multi-rotor systems and improve predictions of their performance and noise.
