Microsoft Flight Simulator will soon add VoloCity air taxis to its popular software. Program head Jorg Neumann announced this week that Microsoft Flight Simulator is collaborating with German eVTOL developer Volocopter on “integrating their electric air taxis and incorporating Volocopter’s vision for urban air mobility city operations.” The release is expected in November. For Volocopter, which last month performed its first public demonstration flights in the United States, the integration promises to be another way to educate the public about urban air mobility and build excitement for its eVTOL technology. For Microsoft Flight Simulator, Neumann said, "the VoloCity air taxi represents our first step toward the introduction of one of the widely-requested aircraft — helicopters!"
